LEAP is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization created to help those with emotional problems who have not responded to traditional psycho- therapy modalities. We treat a wide variety of patients including adults and families. However, our primary focus is on helping at risk children and young people overcome psychological traumas and emotional issues.

At risk children are often difficult to reach in traditional office-based psychotherapy. LEAP uses the combination of licensed clinical psychologists and kind, gentle horses to reach these troubled children.

Left unattended, childhood traumas, like physical and emotional abuse and parental neglect, can lead to life long emotional problems and often anti-social and even criminal behavior. Our Mission at LEAP is to help these at risk populations in the Lowcountry overcome their challenges, get their lives back on track, and become positive members of their families and our communities.
